I'm Dominic Small. I live in London, England. I usually tell people I’m a PT – this means I’m a Personal Trainer – and a qualified one at that. 

I got my degree at Hertfordshire University and went on to study Nutrition, in which I gained some qualifications. People look to lose weight for loads of reasons. Some people exercise so they can continue to eat what they want. Some people want to look good and feel good about themself.

But for most people, exercising to lose weight without considering the nutrition side of this is like studying without considering getting enough sleep or like buying a car without considering the on-going costs. In other words, you can do both, but it’s not the most sensible thing to do.

It was because of my understanding of this link between exercise and food intake that I took 3 extra exams over and above what my degree offered about Nutrition and the part it plays in health.

I created this website so I could express my opinions on weight loss cures, facts, information and issues and to help people make an informed decision about how best to deal with their weight loss problem before it gets too late. Excess weight is a serious health issue that causes great consternation for people when they discover That their weight has crept up without realising. " Me? I’ll never get fat" they say. But alas, none of us are immune especially as many of us are less active than before.

Because there is some much drivel on the Internet nowadays, it really is difficult to know what actually works and the best steps to take. I intend for this site to be a place where I can tell you like it is and where you can let me know your thoughts.
